About Us
1. The Company
| 1.1 |
Insurance Job Channel ("IJC") is a web portal, which
provides unparalleled access to insurance jobs in the USA. IJC
promotes the use of insurance agency and company career sites
as the primary method of recruitment, one that has begun to dominate
online search and recruitment practices and replace traditional
methods. This Internet career site ASP platform provides opportunities
to organizations for optimal exposure of open positions and corporate
information, ease of access and presentation, immediate communication
and information exchange, all at very low cost. |
| 1.2 |
The parent organization of IJC, Yorkshire Place, Ltd., was formed
1999, having evolved through Yorkshire Group, Ltd. For over twenty
years, the professionals at Yorkshire Group have served the insurance
community nationwide in search, recruitment, and placement capacities.
Working closely with its clients, Yorkshire Group has established
a very successful record of providing the best-qualified candidates
for executive and professional positions. |
| 1.3 |
The potential of web services for employee recruitment and
job search in ASP environments is significant. Initially, there
was much promotion and activity with a number of "job boards"
that emerged; however, these have become overextended and expensive.
The implementation of career sites has grown to be a direct extension
of the organization to present recruiting fulfillment through
its web site and web services.
In 2002, 91% of the Global 500 companies recruited from career web sites as
compared with 29% five years before, an increase of 213%.
Also, a recent study disclosed that a
percentage greater than 16% of all new hires comes from career sites, and many less from job boards.

| 1.4 |
In 2001, Yorkshire Place, Ltd. focused its attention on the
development of IJC, a career site model, because of the trend
and the opportunity to become a leader in this venue and marketplace.
The principals at Yorkshire Place, Ltd. recognized the resource
of the Internet and the potential of web services for employee
recruitment in an ASP environment.
We believe that the way in which the internet is used for recruitment
is still in its infancy and that job board sites offer a very
limited service. Our solution is to:
- focus on single industry sectors
- provide direct access to individual companies' own career
sites
- provide search facilities for the job seeker to narrow
choice by type of job and by location
IJC allows job seekers the ability to quickly find and scan specific
insurance agency and company career sites in their desired geographic
preference and for the specific positions. |
| 1.5 |
IJC was launched in 2002 and has been received enthusiastically
by industry executives and human resource professionals. |
2. The Product
| 2.1 |
IJC is a combination job board called 'Find a Job', a portal site
called 'Find a Company' that lists over 5000 names, addresses,
web sites and career sites of the most active insurance organizations
in the United States. It provides direct links to a company's web site and,
if available, to their career site. Career sites are furnished to those
that do not have one. Listings are sorted by industry segment (e.g. Life,
Property/Casualty etc.), location and specialty lines. Thus IJC allows job
seekers the ability to search and scan specific insurance
company career sites in their desired geographic preference
|
| 2.2 |
"Quick Resumes" are now offered as a part of a package
called 'Umbrella Hiring Package' and as a separate product.
"Quick Resumes" are resumes that are requested by insurance
organizations to fill a position. They are provided by email within
48 hours and are generated by a search of national databases. These
resumes are provided within a 25 mile radius of the job location.
|
| 2.3 |
IJC offers a range of services to capitalize on the career site
and resume search trend. Services are offered for the creation of
a career site (increasingly important as medium-sized and small
companies follow the trend of the Global 500) and the inclusion of
featured positions on the listings with company logos and other
selected graphics. IJC drives job seekers to company career sites
through strategic positioning on all search engines, promotion
and e-mail. Low annual prices allow companies of all sizes to participate.
Enhanced listings go to the top of the list when job seekers conduct
their search. Career sites are all designed with automatic posting and
the capability to receive all documents directly from job seekers.
